Here is a status of AD bills in Congress, per my representative:

Thank you for contacting me to express your support for several measures to address Alzheimer’s disease, including H.R. 619, the NAPA Reauthorization Act and H.R. 620, the Alzheimer’s Accountability and Investment Act. I appreciate hearing from you.

Introduced by Rep. Tonko, H.R. 619 would extend the National Alzheimer’s Project through 2035. As you may know, the National Alzheimer’s Project supports the coordination of federal planning, programs, and other efforts to address Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Further, the measure would aim to incorporate a focus on promoting healthy aging and reducing risk factors associated with cognitive decline.

In addition, Rep. Christopher Smith introduced H.R. 620, which would require the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to annually submit an estimate of its budget and personnel needs for carrying out initiatives for the National Alzheimer's Project directly to the President and Congress for review.

On March 20, 2024, H.R. 619 and H.R. 620 were unanimously approved by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Subsequently, the measures were referred to the full House, where they are currently pending consideration. Sen. Collins has also introduced companion measures in the Senate. On July 27, 2023, the Senate measures, S. 133 and S. 134, were approved by the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, and referred to the full Senate, where they are currently pending consideration.

For more information about pending legislation, please visit Congress.gov . In the interim, be assured that I will continue to closely monitor the progress of H.R. 619, H.R. 620, and all relevant legislation with your views in mind.
